Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-05-09T18:23Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2024-05-09T18:23:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: S18W29
Active Region Number: 13664
Note Keyword:
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
GAP: Data gap
HAL: Halo CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
FIL: Filament eruption
DIM: Dimming
EUVW: EUV Wave
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: Partial halo CME associated with an X1.1 flare from AR 3664 (S18W29) with a full halo faint shock and slightly brighter fuzzy-fronted bulk. The start time is possibly earlier that 18:23Z as the start of this event is covered by a data gap in SOHO due to a maneuver. Coronal signatures include a large ejecta from AR 3664 seen starting north-westwards ~17:36ZZ in AIA 304, a significant-area dimming mostly extending northward and westward of the flare location and stretching as far as the two coronal holes north of the equator.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
